Weather experts are reporting an icy beginning to the new year, with wintry precipitation expected over large parts of the UK. Those celebrating are being urged to wrap up as sub-zero temperatures are forecast for New Year's Eve.
Hogmanay Celebrations Continue Amid Forecasts
The Scottish capital's iconic Hogmanay festivities are expected to go ahead, a contrast to last year's cancellation. This is in spite of advisories for snow over northern Scotland.
