Salah Offers Apology to Squad, Says Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has disclosed that Mohamed Salah said sorry to the group of players in the wake of the uproar from his public comments.

Salah was left out from a European match after criticising the club and suggesting his rapport with Arne Slot had broken down.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I apologise.’”
Arne Slot has chosen not to disclose on whether he received a personal apology from the 33-year-old forward.

He emphasized that the squad's reaction remained positive. “Nothing about him changed, he was smiling and we all treated him normally,” Jones added.
Jones also noted that a competitor wanting to play is preferable. “I get that there are specific approaches you can go about things,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just not start, then I think that’s more of an issue.”
Positive Results
The team's performance have stayed unbeaten in the period after the interview fallout. The player is convinced the forward's comments were not intended to harm the team.
“If passion has boiled over, it has consistently come from a good place,” he finished. “We’re past that now and we’re uniting strongly, performing and starting to win games.”
